Art on Oakdale is a tiny outdoor gallery outside my Portland studio where original art is free to take and anyone is welcome to contribute something they’ve made. The gallery changes constantly, so there is almost always something new to discover.

I started Art on Oakdale as a way to share art beyond the studio and make it part of everyday neighborhood life. You might find a mosaic, painting, drawing, photograph, handmade card or something completely unexpected. There’s no need to leave something in order to take something. If a piece speaks to you, it’s yours.

• Take art. If you find something you love, take it home.

• Leave art. Anyone is welcome to add a small original work of their own.

• No exchange required. You don’t have to leave something to take something.

• Come back. The contents change frequently.
