Artist Springboard Grant (FY2026)
Building Community and Artistic Practice through Mosaic Art Donation
This project is a series of 26 small-scale mosaics created in my Portland studio and shared with the community through Art on Oakdale, the free little art gallery outside my studio.
Each mosaic is a small study focused on exploring a specific material, technique, or design approach. Working at a small scale allows for careful experimentation and technical refinement, drawing on traditional mosaic methods alongside contemporary studio practice. Once completed, each piece is placed in the gallery to be freely taken and enjoyed by anyone who encounters it.
The mosaics are being released over the course of the grant cycle, through June 2026, and each piece will be documented here as part of the evolving series.
I’m grateful to the Maine Arts Commission for their support of this project and their ongoing commitment to artists and arts communities across the state.
This project is supported in part by The Maine Arts Commission, which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
